Jilly Moo's Basic # 11 : V-Neck Sweater

Wednesday, November 18, 2009

Every Gal Needs: A v-neck sweater in the best quality you can afford. Cashmere is preferable but cotton can be great too. We find that most wools are too scratchy for us.

Fit: We like our v-neck to be fairly fitted but not too much so. One of our peeves is when the sweater is too short waisted: hitting just below the waist is most flattering and makes for a good basic shape that will be very classic and versatile.

Favs: J Crew has a wide variety of colors and materials with good quality and fit. Ralph Lauren also makes a good quality, basic sweater. V-necks will always be a popular staple and can therefore be found most places, its just a matter of finding one that you love.
