Jilly Moo's Basic #6 : Tall Flat Boots

Thursday, October 1, 2009

Every Gal Needs: A pair of tall, flat boots in either brown or black (we find brown to be more versatile).

Fit: Make sure the boot comes up to your knee, especially if you plan to wear these over jeans or with a skirt/dress. Boots that hit mid-calf make your leg look shorter than they are. This is one of those unfortunate cases where we feel that you may have to spend a little bit more money to get good quality. We feel that brown leather tends to be especially susceptible to looking cheep so buyer beware!

Favs: Last year we found a good deal on great pair by Jessica Simpson. Frye is a good quality brand but can tend to be a little on the pricey side. They do wear in to look better with age so we can justify spending on this one. Like ballet flats, this shoe has also become very popular and thus, easy to find at all price points.

I love all three of these outfits, esp. the weekend one! I feel like my hips are too big to wear boots like that (or skinny jeans for that matter!)
