Thanksgiving Outfits

Tuesday, November 24, 2009

Lets face it ladies: for Thanksgiving all we want to do is stuff our faces. Its just a fact. Last year I was lucky enough to be preggers so I had a belly that I didn't care about letting loose. This year I'm back to worrying about containing my stomach in my pants and preventing Dunlap
Syndrome. I will not resort to wearing a corset (or having hubby zip my jeans for me while I lay back and suck in my stomach).
Anthropologie to the rescue!

Hide your belly in any of these comfy, non-restrictive outfits. We are hard pressed to find anything at Anthropologie that we don't fall in love with. Happy eating!

Jilly Moo's Basic # 11 : V-Neck Sweater

Wednesday, November 18, 2009

Every Gal Needs: A v-neck sweater in the best quality you can afford. Cashmere is preferable but cotton can be great too. We find that most wools are too scratchy for us.

Fit: We like our v-neck to be fairly fitted but not too much so. One of our peeves is when the sweater is too short waisted: hitting just below the waist is most flattering and makes for a good basic shape that will be very classic and versatile.

Old Navy Weekly

Wednesday, November 11, 2009

Thanks to one of our Gals, we bring you this terrific tip: check out Old Navy Weekly and find hidden coupons. We found one for 10% off any in store purchase and $15 off $75 or more. There is a ticker at the top of the page that tells you which coupons are still remaining. Simply click around on the mannequins to find the hidden coupons (we moved one of the girl's scarves and the little girl's gloves). You may have to hunt a little bit!

For this week only, they are currently offering up to 50% off on all outerwear. We love this little swing coat that was originally $69.50. . . now $34.75! That's only $31.27 with the 10% off coupon!

Stella McCartney for Gap Kids

Tuesday, November 3, 2009

WHAT? How did I not hear about this earlier? Stella McCartney, who I love love, has done a line for Baby Gap and Gap Kids! I went online to check it out for myself and it is really great stuff. I want it all! She uses her typical soft color palate and mixes unexpected pieces with beautiful classic pieces at typical gap prices. There are skinny jeans, cashmere leggings, blazers, and sweaters. It comes in all sizes: from 0-6 months to 12 years (unfortunately no adult sizes). I wish I could post pictures of everything but here are a few of my favs.

Carlos Falchi is known for using exotic skins and bright colors in his luxury bags that retail for upwards of $4,000. He has collaborated with Target and you can now (as of November 1st) get yours for as little as $19.99. His same patchwork technique is still used here and these are awesome bags that are going to go fast!
