As women, our figures are constantly changing. It takes one week of bad eating, no exercise, and water retention and our favorite jeans do not fit the way they used to! Why do stinkin' men not have this problem? All we can tell you is at least a handbag always fits! (Forewarning...if this is a new realization for you, this can develop into an obsession that can be quite costly!) In all of our years of loving handbags we have learned that essentially there really are 4 bags that every gal needs:
The Everyday Bag
Comfort and function is what you are looking for in this bag. Jilly has found that gray is a great color because it looks great with both black or brown! The thing with an everyday bag is that it can vary for whatever stage of life you are in. If you are still toting little ones and have to keep all the necessities: tissues, sanitizer, band aids, snacks, toys etc, the size of the bag will more than likely be a little different from a single gal who lives in the city and does a lot of walking. In both categories we have found that a zipper closure is best to keep all your stuff inside where it belongs. One time of tampons spilling out in front of my daughter's class brought me to that conclusion!

The Clutch
The biggest misconception of this bag is that it is an evening bag (think black satin) but this is a great bag that can add some texture or color to an outfit and is not limited to the Oscar's or prom! Pair it with jeans, heels and a fun top for a night out with the hubby or friends! Nothing is worse than a cute little dress still worn with a giant everyday bag (well, I'm sure there is something worse...).

The Work Bag
For all you working gals out there, there is one important thing that we want to share with you on your work handbag...understated and classic is the key. Flashy logo bags (which we are not fans of anyway), patent leather, sequin or stud accents, and loud patterns are things to avoid. The look is professional and functional. Try to avoid causal looks like canvas, denim or straw.

Here is where you get to have fun! Weekends are about letting loose, chilling out and having FUN! Show your personality. This is one of our favorite bags to buy. Depending on your weekend plans, you may need a small cross body bag or a larger one. Either way, let loose with it!

Try to remember that Jilly Moo's always encourages you to invest in quality shoes and bags, this is what you should pool your money towards in your wardrobe because of the wear and tear. A good quality bag can last for years!
