We love finding inspiration in others, particularly when it comes to an unusual combination that we would have never thought of.  Case and point: Olivia Palermo.

Target has done it again...landed another great designer to do an affordable line for the giant company. This time it's the likes of none other than Jean-Paul Gaultier! His line debuts March 1st (we are there!).  Jean-Paul Gautlier is probably most remembered by the public for his infamous cone bra design for Madonna.

 No worries, he is also known for his rock and roll flare in street-wear and based on these pics below, he is keeping in line with that look: so no cone bra! We love how he mixes patterns with a little something sweet but also with a little bit of edge. When we say we are excited about this line, that does not even cover it! We cannot wait!!!!!! Target be ready because here we come!!!

Every Gal Needs: A weekend shoe to wear out and about running errands. Can we say it?  Let's ban together and create a movement:  no more running shoes for everyday wear (gasp!)  They are for the gym only!  We know, we know; they are comfortable.  But they really aren't doing anything for you.  Seriously.  We wouldn't led you astray.  Here we offer you some comfortable alternatives.  The best part?  They are all under $100.

how to wear cropped boots

One thing that we love now and while transitioning into spring is the cropped boot.  We feel that while a tall boot can be a little much as the weather begins to warm, a shorter boot is perfect!  We love ours by Frye but they can be a tad on the pricey side for some.

While doing a little research on how to wear ours (yes, even we need a little inspiration every now and then) we ran across some of these pictures and realized, hey we don't need a revolutionary outfit to go with these boots.  The beauty of the cropped boot is it's ease of wear.  Just slide them on with jeans and a t-shirt (toss on a cardigan or cropped jacket for winter) for an easy everyday look or pair them with a dress or skirt to make it a little more casual.  Jilly even pairs her's with leggings and a tunic for some running around.

First I want to start by saying, that my hairstylist of 10+ years has had some life stuff going on so I had to go to someone who I have never used before...scary! I am very loyal to my favorite hair guy but also understand that some things in life are much more important than my hair! (Love you Chris!!)

A near and dear friend recommended that I visit Platinum Salon in Brasleton, Georgia and see a fella by the name of Thomas.

The salon and staff were unbelievably cool and started right away on what ended up taking about 3 hours!! Thomas knew that I have had a long relationship with my hair stylist...lets face it ladies sometimes these relationships are as important to us as our marriages! He was feeling the pressure...plus I brought in my picture to reference to.

They did it...staff was really friendly, the atmosphere was fabulous and they were so great when I had some little visitors (my rug rats).  I really dug the vibe and felt very confident that the look I was looking for was going to be achieved. Thomas is a perfectionist and he took his time to make sure it was right...plus he wasn't deterred by a 2 and 5 year old running amuck around the salon when they paid their visit...who knew men could be multi-taskers!! So without a further ado...the results are...

I went with the Cameon Diaz look:  layered with side swept bangs.

I love it!!!!!!!!!

So does the hubby!

nude is the new black

One of the easiest ways for any and everyone to update their wardrobe is with the new color of the season.  This spring it's soft neutral colors such as nude, blush pink, sandy brown, and cream.  Look for details such as rouching, ruffles and pleating, which can add texture to an otherwise vanilla color palate.  Beware of looking too girly-girl and add a tailored jacket or a tough pair of shoes or belt to give the look some interest.  Here are a few items to get you going.
